Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi bagaimana nilai-nilai budaya lokal Bugis-Makassar, yaitu Siri’ na Pacce, membentuk perilaku kewirausahaan hijau pada Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) di Kabupaten Pangkajene dan Kepulauan (Pangkep). Studi ini menantang dominasi literatur Barat yang cenderung menekankan regulasi formal dan insentif ekonomi sebagai pendorong utama praktik bisnis berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA). Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dengan pemilik UMKM asli daerah yang telah menerapkan praktik ramah lingkungan minimal selama tiga tahun. Hasil penelitian mengidentifikasi tiga tema utama: (1) Siri’ (rasa malu/harga diri) berfungsi sebagai "kompas moral" yang mencegah pengusaha melakukan pencemaran karena takut akan sanksi sosial) ((2) Pacce (solidaritas/empati) meluas menjadi solidaritas lintas-spesies, di mana penderitaan alam dirasakan sebagai penderitaan pribadi yang memicu inovasi pengelolaan limbah) (dan (3) Alam dimaknai sebagai titipan leluhur yang harus dijaga marwahnya. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan model "Rem dan Gas" dalam perilaku ekologis: Siri’ menahan perilaku destruktif, sementara Pacce mendorong inisiatif proaktif. Hal ini menyarankan agar pembuat kebijakan menggunakan pendekatan berbasis budaya dalam mempromosikan keberlanjutan ekonomi di wilayah berkembang.
