Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan memahami bagaimana mahasiswa Akuntansi 2023 Kelas C membangun strategi literasi keuangan serta menegosiasikan makna simbolik dalam pengambilan keputusan finansial. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan fenomenologi melalui wawancara mendalam pada tujuh partisipan, penelitian menemukan bahwa literasi keuangan mahasiswa terbentuk melalui kombinasi pengetahuan akademis, pengalaman pribadi, dan tekanan sosial lingkungan kampus. Mahasiswa menerapkan strategi seperti penganggaran sederhana, prioritisasi kebutuhan, pengendalian impuls, serta adaptasi situasional, namun praktiknya sering dipengaruhi oleh aktivitas konsumsi bermakna simbolik seperti nongkrong, belanja online, dan penggunaan fintech. Identitas sebagai mahasiswa akuntansi juga memunculkan ketegangan antara tuntutan rasionalitas finansial dan realitas sosial yang mereka hadapi. Secara keseluruhan, keputusan finansial mahasiswa merupakan hasil negosiasi antara aspek kognitif, sosial, dan identitas, sehingga literasi keuangan perlu dipahami sebagai proses sosial dan interpretatif.
