Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis wakaf sebagai instrumen peningkatan kesejahteraan umat dalam perspektif hukum Islam serta relevansinya dalam konteks sosial ekonomi kontemporer. Kajian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif melalui studi pustaka. Data dikumpulkan dari literatur akademik berupa artikel jurnal ilmiah, buku, dan dokumen hukum yang relevan, kemudian dianalisis secara tematik melalui tahapan identifikasi konsep, reduksi data, kategorisasi, dan penarikan kesimpulan secara induktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa wakaf memiliki landasan normatif yang kuat dalam hukum Islam dan selaras dengan maqashid al syariah, khususnya dalam mewujudkan keadilan sosial, redistribusi kekayaan, dan perlindungan kemaslahatan umat. Wakaf produktif, wakaf uang, serta inovasi instrumen wakaf terintegrasi terbukti berpotensi besar dalam mendukung pembiayaan pendidikan, kesehatan, pemberdayaan ekonomi, dan pengurangan kemiskinan. Namun demikian, optimalisasi peran wakaf masih menghadapi tantangan berupa kelemahan tata kelola, rendahnya profesionalisme nazhir, keterbatasan regulasi, dan minimnya literasi wakaf di masyarakat. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa penguatan aspek kelembagaan, reformasi hukum, dan inovasi pengelolaan wakaf merupakan prasyarat penting agar wakaf dapat berfungsi secara efektif sebagai instrumen kesejahteraan umat. Temuan ini diharapkan berkontribusi pada pengembangan kajian hukum ekonomi Islam serta menjadi rujukan praktis bagi pengelola wakaf dan pembuat kebijakan.
